I’ve mentioned the date tentatively before, but I’m far enough along in the final edits to say it with confidence:

The Lost Season, Book Two of Kin of Fae, will be published on August 8, 2026.

The book will be available on Kindle and included with Kindle Unlimited.

I’ve been eager to share this story for a long time. The Lost Season expands the world introduced in The Returned Child, bringing together familiar characters, new faces, and pieces of a much older mystery. It is a story about grief, friendship, forgotten histories, and the forces—familial, magical, and otherwise—that lay claim to us.

Here is the official book description:

The Lost Season

We don’t get to choose what claims us.

After a year marked by death and silence, Allen is barely holding together. His village wants someone to blame. And the only person who could share the weight—his best friend Jenny—has been hollowed out by grief.

Miles away, Gabriel is used to being strange. Life has never made sense—until the voice in his head returns and the dreams begin: angels falling, demons rising, and a frozen lake lit by fire.

Their paths converge at Middleton College, where another world presses uncomfortably close.

In the woods, something ancient has begun to hunt, wrapped in borrowed flesh and memory. Dormant powers are stirring. And the fragile ties between new friends are about to be tested by a force that remembers them… even if they’ve forgotten themselves.

Kin of Fae: The Lost Season arrives August 8, 2026, on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.

More news—and a few additional glimpses into the book—will be coming soon. For now, I’m thrilled to finally make the date official. I can’t wait to share Allen and Gabriel’s story with you.

A novel cover titled "The Lost Season" by "Levi Peltier." Green leafed vines border the cover and a stylized maple leaf icon appears below the title.
